Go Mazda Edmonton Frequently Asked Questions

How often should a Mazda be serviced?

Each Mazda model has its own maintenance requirements and schedule. Oil and filter changes are due every 8,000 km or six months. Most service intervals are every 8,000 km. Find the link to your owner’s manual in the link above.

Are Mazdas expensive to maintain?

According to Canada's Uchanics.ca, the average cost of a service for a Mazda ranges anywhere from $80 to $5844, with an average of $303. The estimated average annual cost to maintain a Mazda is $680 a year.

Can any garage service my Mazda?

When your Mazda is under warranty, you need to service it at an official Mazda dealership, otherwise you risk voiding your warranty. Be sure to follow your car’s maintenance intervals to keep your vehicle under warranty. Malfunctions that result from a service done at a non-Mazda service garage may not be covered by your warranty.

What is a routine maintenance on a Mazda?

Each Mazda has unique maintenance requirements and its own schedule. Routine maintenance for a Mazda is usually: replacing engine oil and filter; inspect brake and clutch fluid, washer fluid, coolant level, air filter, and lights. Tires are checked for wear and are rotated. Locks and hinges are inspected. Additional maintenance inspections and replacements are due at each 32,000 km interval. We’ll give your vehicle a health check at each visit and will highlight any issues.

How often do Mazda's need an oil change?

You should change your Mazda’s oil and filter at every 8,000 km or six-month interval.

What's the average maintenance cost on a Mazda?

Mazda's are one of the most affordable and reliable cars available in Canada. Maintenance costs vary significantly, depending on what is required. An oil and filter change costs about $120, but a full brake job costs more, and so do tires, batteries, and different levels of service as you pass a significant number kilometers. Contact us for a quote on your next service or maintenance.

Does Go Mazda offer complimentary maintenance services?

Complimentary maintenance services aren’t included with a new Mazda purchase. But we do have regular promotional service offers which give discounts. And the Go Card gives 10% off every service and repair bill. You can also put your 5% rewards towards upcoming invoices.
